Beida | Handmade Zellij Side Table

Zellij (also written zellige) is a Moroccan tilework tradition with roots going back to the 10th century. Each tile is shaped by hand using a steel hammer and chisel, one strike at a time. Then placed alongside its neighbours and set into white cement. There are no machines involved at any step. The craft is practiced in a handful of cities in Morocco. The artisan who makes these tables works in Salé, on the Atlantic coast, where the tradition has been passed from generation to generation. The tables are made exclusively for You.

Wipe with a damp cloth. Mild soap is fine. Avoid abrasive cleaners, which can dull the enamel over time. The grout lines can be cleaned with a soft brush.

The Zellij tiles are frost-resistant and suitable for outdoor use. Cover or bring inside during extended periods of heavy rain or frost to preserve the iron base.

Each table is made in Salé after your order is confirmed, then shipped from Brussels. Allow 2 to 3 weeks from order to delivery. You will receive a tracking number once it is on its way.

Every table travels in a reinforced crate. In the rare case something arrives damaged, send us a photo within 48 hours and we will make you a new one at no cost.
