Tissire Atelier

About Tissire Atelier

I grew up in Morocco surrounded by things made by hand. Rugs woven in mountain cooperatives. Glass blown in medina workshops. Ceramics shaped the same way they have been for centuries. None of it felt remarkable at the time. It was simply the world I lived in.

When I moved to Belgium, the distance changed my perspective. The things I had grown up with and barely noticed suddenly felt irreplaceable. Not because they were beautiful, but because of what was behind them: a person, a process, time.

Tissire Atelier started as a personal project. I wanted to bring the pieces I loved to people who would love them the same way. Every rug, every glass, every pillow in this shop has been chosen by me. I visit the cooperatives in the Atlas Mountains. I know the people who make these things. I only carry what I would keep myself.

Tissire is a Moroccan word that carries the warmth of luck, prosperity, and goodwill. It also quietly echoes the French tisser -- to weave -- which felt like the right thread to pull.

Sourcing

Every piece comes directly from artisan cooperatives in Morocco, primarily in the Atlas Mountains region. No intermediaries, no middlemen. I visit in person and choose each piece myself.

Authenticity

No mass production. Each item is made by hand using methods that have not changed in generations, because there is no reason to change them.

Shipping

We ship across Europe and beyond via Bpost and UPS. Orders within Europe ship free. Delivery details are shown on each product page.

A small operation

This is a small operation, and that is intentional. Orders are packed by hand, communication is personal, and every piece ships with the same attention it was made with. If you have a question, you are writing to the person who sourced your product.
