The new craft
Every tile is cut by hand. No two are ever exactly the same.
Zellij is one of the oldest geometric arts in the world. Each piece begins as a fired clay tile, then a craftsman with a small steel chisel cuts it into its precise shape: a triangle, a star, a lozenge. The table you receive was assembled tile by tile in Salé, the city on the Atlantic coast of Morocco.
Do not see your size? Every table is made to order, so custom diameters and dimensions are always possible. Message me and we will work it out together.
