This is the artisan's signature design. No pattern is given to him, no template to follow. He chooses every piece, every colour, every placement. What you receive is his composition, made for you, made once. It will never be made again in exactly the same way
At 50 cm / 19.7 in across it works as a side table, a plant stand, a surface for a lamp and a book. The largest of the three designs in the collection
The wrought iron base folds flat. The tile top sits on it without fixings, held by its own weight. Easy to move inside, take outside, or store
With every colour present, it holds its own against any interior. Against a neutral room it becomes the focal point. Against a colourful room it becomes part of the conversation
The craft
Zellij (also written zellige) is a Moroccan tilework tradition with roots going back to the 10th century. Each tile is shaped by hand using a steel hammer and chisel, one strike at a time. Then placed alongside its neighbours and set into white cement. There are no machines involved at any step. The craft is practiced in a handful of cities in Morocco. The artisan who makes these tables works in Salé, on the Atlantic coast, where the tradition has been passed from generation to generation. The tables are made exclusively for You.
Care
Cleaning
Wipe with a damp cloth. Mild soap is fine. Avoid abrasive cleaners, which can dull the enamel over time. The grout lines can be cleaned with a soft brush.
Outdoor use
The Zellij tiles are frost-resistant and suitable for outdoor use. Cover or bring inside during extended periods of heavy rain or frost to preserve the iron base.
Natural variations
Each piece is chosen and placed by the artisan. The colours, shapes, and arrangement of your table will differ from the photos. No two Sala tables will ever look alike. That is the nature of a signature piece.

Each table is made in Salé after your order is confirmed, then shipped from Brussels. Allow 2 to 3 weeks from order to delivery. You will receive a tracking number once it is on its way.
