A soft ivory field carrying a full lattice of diamonds drawn in charcoal, each one holding a finer diamond in rose, sky blue, teal or olive. Two striped panels cross the lower half like woven ribbons, filled with fine lines of pink, blue, green and black. A row of pastel checks runs along the top edge, and small stars and crosses are scattered between the shapes. Tislit (the Amazigh word for bride) is a joyful, generous design in the Azilal tradition, festive without ever becoming loud.

Sizes and lead time
Woven to order. The photos show the reference piece woven by the cooperative. Choose your size and fringe finish and the same design is knotted for you: count 6 to 8 weeks to your door. Hand-knotting means your rug will carry its own small variations from the photo. That is part of every handmade piece.
Why this rug
A classic Azilal diamond lattice, drawn freehand: no two diamonds repeat exactly.
The pastels are woven in fine lines, so from a distance the rug reads calm ivory and up close it rewards you with colour.
The striped diamond panels across the base give the design a movement most lattice rugs do not have.
I chose this design for rooms that need softness and personality at once: bedrooms especially.
How this sits in a room
In natural light
Daylight keeps the field ivory and the pastels quiet. In the evening the charcoal lattice comes forward and the rug turns graphic.
Wall colours it suits
Off-white and linen walls keep it airy. Rose or sky pick up the diamond colours; sage grounds them. It also sits well against soft charcoal for contrast.
Floor and furniture
Made for bedrooms and reading corners: bare feet, morning light. Pairs with light wood, rattan and washed linen.
Care instructions
Vacuum regularly
Low suction, against the pile. Avoid the fringes with the nozzle.
Brush once or twice a year
Keeps the wool fibres alive and the texture looking its best.
Treat stains quickly
Blot gently with warm water and a little Woolite. Never rub.
Let it breathe
Never leave it folded for long. Wool needs air to stay in good shape.
Natural freshening tip
A light mist of water, bicarbonate of soda, and a few drops of mint essential oil refreshes the rug between cleans and acts as a natural insect repellent in spring and summer.
