Columns of stacked hourglasses and diamonds climb the cream field in moss green, chartreuse, denim blue and rust, each shape outlined in a rust line that holds the palette together. A tall totem of nested diamonds rises through the centre, and at the base the shapes dissolve into a mosaic of green and yellow checks, as if the pattern were emptying into a pool. Bold, botanical and full of rhythm, Tanirt (the Amazigh word for angel) is the most colour-forward design of the collection.

Woven to order. The photos show the reference piece woven by the cooperative. Choose your size and fringe finish and the same design is knotted for you: count 6 to 8 weeks to your door. Hand-knotting means your rug will carry its own small variations from the photo. That is part of every handmade piece.

A true Azilal palette: greens and yellows straight from the valley in spring, cooled with denim blue.
The vertical totem composition draws the eye upward and makes rooms feel taller.

I chose this design for living rooms with plants and natural wood: it behaves like a garden underfoot.

In natural light
Daylight lifts the chartreuse and the denim blue; warm evening light brings the rust and moss forward. The design changes mood with the day.

Vacuum regularly
Low suction, against the pile. Avoid the fringes with the nozzle.
Brush once or twice a year
Keeps the wool fibres alive and the texture looking its best.
Treat stains quickly
Blot gently with warm water and a little Woolite. Never rub.
Let it breathe
Never leave it folded for long. Wool needs air to stay in good shape.
Natural freshening tip
A light mist of water, bicarbonate of soda, and a few drops of mint essential oil refreshes the rug between cleans and acts as a natural insect repellent in spring and summer.
