It was cut for a customer in Salé, travelled to Brussels, and picked up a small chip on one border tile somewhere on the road. That chip is why it is €30 below the made-to-order price, and why it can be in your hands in about a week instead of six. Nejma means star in Darija. Cobalt blue, forest green, burgundy, ochre and white cut into eight-pointed stars and set by hand into cement, with a solid blue ring running the edge.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"ta-flaw\"\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"ta-flaw-label\"\u003eSold as seen\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"ta-flaw-title\"\u003eOne chipped tile on the outer border\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"ta-flaw-text\"\u003eOne cobalt tile in the outer ring has lost a piece of its glazed edge, roughly a centimetre across, and the warm clay body underneath shows through. It sits on the very rim of the top, so you meet it from the side rather than from above. Photographs three and four on this page are that chip, close up and against a tape measure, lit so it reads as badly as it ever will. Nothing else is wrong with the table: the cement bed is sound, the top is flat, no tile is loose, and the base is untouched. It is the only fault, it will not spread, and the price already accounts for it. The craft is practiced in a handful of cities in Morocco. Wipe it dry after rain, and during heavy rain spells and through the snow season use a waterproof cover or bring the table indoors: water that sits and freezes stresses the grout lines, and standing water is what starts rust at a chip.
